Investing in
Our Students

to inspire lasting, attainable excellence

Access to a West Chester University education changes lives. That is why our campaign is devoted to removing financial and social barriers that hold back some of WCU’s most promising students.

I was worried about finishing my senior year. This scholarship will help me focus on schoolwork, extracurriculars, and a career after college.”

Broadening access through scholarships

Over 7,000 WCU students currently rely on scholarships to complete their undergraduate and graduate programs. But with less than 22% of our overall funding coming from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the need for committed campaign action is clear.

With your support, we will invest in annual scholarships to create immediate financial impact for students, and endowed scholarships that will benefit generations of students in perpetuity. That includes support for student-athletes — with programs that will drive them to greatness in the classroom, on the field, and well into their professions.

Bringing in the nation’s brightest

Your gift helps West Chester University attract top-performing students with multiple college offers, and it creates a path to success for underserved, academically talented individuals.

Attracting the best and brightest to WCU continues to build on our tradition of excellence. Your support of merit-based scholarships is an investment in the future.

How can you invest
in our students?

Your support will help close gaps defined by inability to pay and personal hardship. With every Ram empowered to their greatest potential, we will create lasting ripples of success — on our campus, and across the world.

“Success at West Chester University emerges from a supportive environment. Every student faces challenges – for me, it was navigating my journey as a first generation college student. Scholarships put funding directly in the hands of students and more importantly, encourage them to complete their degree as a step to a lifelong commitment to learning and their own success – however they define it.”
