Scholarships are critical to the University’s ability to attract talented students and ensure access to those with financial need. In fact, nearly two thirds of WCU's students depend on financial aid to help them achieve their educational dreams.

As a result, the University is grateful to generous donors who provide scholarship funds and endowments that make student success possible. Last year, over 400 merit and need-based scholarships generated more than $750,000 of student financial aid -- all created and maintained through private donations.

How to Create a Scholarship

West Chester University and the WCU Foundation are grateful to donors who make a personal investment in our students' education by establishing annual and endowed scholarships. The two documents below are designed to assist you in creating a scholarship for West Chester University students. When the WCU Foundation receives your completed "Scholarship Information Sheet," accompanied by your contribution, your annual or endowed scholarship fund will be established.

Annual Campaigns

The establishment of the Kendall Davis Memorial Scholarship has been a tremendous way for us to honor our daughter, and to keep her memory alive. For the two of us it was a way to take a tragic event, and make it not only a lasting contribution, but a positive one in Kendall’s memory.”
