WCU Planetarium:
Chester County’s Own Portal to the Solar System!

Did you know that there's a planetarium right in your backyard?  A planetarium that hosts thousands of visitors every year?  The West Chester University planetarium has been serving WCU students, local school children and the public since 1969.  With astronomy classes every semester, twice weekly shows for K-12 school groups, and monthly evening public shows, the WCU planetarium is the best astronomy resource in the area.  But it's about to get better!  The planetarium will undergo a complete renovation that includes a state-of-the-art digital projector, larger seamless dome, and upgraded reclining seats.

Our goal is to renovate the Planetarium in next summer and celebrate its grand re-opening in the fall of 2013.

Participation in this project is open to the whole community!
